BARE Restaurant was voted Bergen’s best by Dagens Næringsliv in 2017, and is among the city’s top three restaurants on TripAdvisor. Behind the success are the enthusiastic entrepreneurs Øystein Ellingsen and Morten Tungesvik, supported by their ambitious kitchen team.
The gourmet restaurant’s multi-course menus change with the seasons and available ingredients, and offer creative flavours based on the Nordic kitchen and produce sourced from the fjord regions. Visit for an exquisite culinary journey that challenges, inspires, and surprises.

Located in the old chamber of commerce hall, this is the most beautiful bar in the city – and maybe in Norway. This hidden gem offers exclusive interior, an excellent selection of drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere.
Welcome to the most awesome bar in Bergen!
Opening hours:
Friday–Saturday: 18.00-24.00
The old stock exchange is home to a total of five different bars and restaurants. On the lower ground floor, we recommend Bare Vestland – a popular and informal meeting point run by the same owners as the hotel’s main restaurant and serving exciting variations of traditional Western Norwegian classics. Bare Vestland is open seven days a week. Entrance from the reception, via stairs.
Another restaurant in the same building is Matbørsen, located in the old Fresco Hall. Entrance via the reception. Matbørsen serves international dishes and Asian-inspired food. In Børskjelleren bar you will find a wide selection of local craft beer, and on the lower ground floor is the popular night club Sjenerøs.
