In this historic jewel of a building, as close to the heart of Bergen as we can possibly get, we have built Bergen Børs Hotel, an exclusive design hotel for those who want to treat themselves to a unique hotel experience.
Location
The hotel is situated right by the Fish Market and Torgallmenningen, the main square, in Bergen city centre. It is just a short distance to public transport such as the light rail and airport express bus. Famous attractions such as Fløibanen, UNESCO-listed Bryggen, and several of the city's best museums are a stone's throw away.

From Bergen airport: Light rail to the final stop, Byparken. Walking distance approx. 550 metres. Flybussen airport express bus to the Fish Market. Walking distance approx. 100 meters.
From Bergen railway station: Walking distance approx. 600 metres.
From Strandkaiterminalen express boat terminal: Walking distance approx. 250 metres. Taxi rank in the quay area.
From the Hurtigruten terminal: Walking distance approx. 1.1 km. You can phone Bergen Taxi at 07000 on arrival to book a taxi.
By car: The nearest parking garage is KlosterGarasjen, where our guests receive a 15% discount when registering their registration number at the reception. You can stop outside the hotel to take out your luggage before parking. To get to the hotel by car, turn onto Olav Kyrres Gate by DNB bank.

Bare By Pak is run by Michelin chef Vladimir Pak, and serves Nordic and Japanese ingredients with techniques from the Japanese kitchen. The exclusive restaurant is located on the 3rd floor of the Bergen Børs Hotel.
Frescohallen is a relaxing escape from everyday life, and Bergen's grand living room. The place has been named the world's best in the "historic buildings" category, so here you can eat great food in impressive surroundings.
Fresquito is a newly opened tapas restaurant serving dishes from Spanish and South American cuisine. It is located directly next door to Frescohallen.
Fitnessrom: Free to all guests and open 24/7
Meeting room: On the 4th floor of the hotel, we have a smaller meeting room with space for 10 people.

The History of Bergen Børs Hotel
In 1862, Bergen received its own stock exchange building, located in one of the city's finest locations. Ever since its opening, Vågsalmenningen 1 has been a key meeting place for influential locals and prominent visitors. The unique, late classical building was originally designed by Franz Wilhelm Shiertz, before being rebuilt according to designs by Lars Solberg between 1890 and 1893.
The stock exchange building is considered one of Bergen's most important neo-Renaissance buildings. In addition to hosting prominent guests in Bergen Børs Hotel, it is also home to one of Norway's national treasures. The restaurant Frescohallen – adorned with murals with motifs relating to Bergen trade – is definitely worth a visit.
The hotel also houses the acclaimed and luxurious restaurant Bare by Pak and the newly opened tapas restaurant Fresquito.

Smoking: The hotel is completely non-smoking indoors. There are separate areas where our guests can smoke outdoors. Smoking in hotel rooms or other indoor common areas will result in a fee of at least NOK 1,500.
City bikes: City bikes are available for hire right outside the hotel by Husfliden.
